La población There are approximately 30,693,827 people currently living in Venezuela. They are known as “Venezuelan”  The population of Venezuela is characterized by a rich cultural and traditional display. 

La geografía A famous landmark in Venezuela is the Angel Falls waterfall Venezuela's largest cities are Maracaibo, Valencia, Barquisimeto, Maracay and Ciudad Guayana.

La capital The capital city of Venezuela is Caracas Caracas was discovered by Francisco Fajardo from the nearby Margarita Island in 1560

La bandera The flag was designed like this because of the war of independence Yellow represent all the gold found in the Venezuelan land Blue represents the areas, the river and the sky Red represents the blood spilled for Venezuela’s independence

La moneda Venezuela goes by bolivares, instead of dollars One US dollar equals 6.31866 bolivares

Tradiciones Most Venezuelans are Catholic. Masses typically are held each day of the week, but followers are expected to attend every Sunday.  The country's national dance, the Joropo, is a couples dance performed to music by traditional Latin American instruments.
