Presentation transcript:

- Usable range of 0 to 6 feet. - Find dark or bright areas. This sensor uses a photocell that allows your robot to detect and react. With this sensor, you can program a whole new range of capabilities to your robot. - Analog input of levels. - Usable range of 0 to 6 feet. - Find dark or bright areas. This rugged device when triggered by large impacts provides feedback to the cortex but does so without sustaining damage. - Provides feedback to Microcontroller as events "happen". - Rugged bumpers allow switch to be triggered without damage. - Useful as a trigger in a variety of applications. Functionality is pre-programmed in the VEX Microcontroller. This device sends a signal to the Microcontroller when they are triggered. These switches are great for signalling when a robot arm has reached the top or bottom of its motion. - Provide feedback to Microcontroller as events "happen" - Bendable sheet metal switch "arm" is very versatile - Useful as a trigger in a variety of applications - Functionality is pre-programmed in the VEX Microcontroller This set of devices allows you to program your robot for light sensing by identifying the different levels of light on a line. Sensors sit in groups to allow robots to sense their position and adjust accordingly. - Navigate down a marked path. - Used for light sensing. - More autonomous function. Avoid obstacles and measure distances with this device. This device emits a high-frequency sound wave that alerts the robot to things in its path. A Programming Kit is needed to change the program in the VEX Controller. - Measure distances from 1.5in to 115in. - Avoid obstacles. - Create more autonomous function. With this device you can measure both the position and direction of rotation of a VEX shaft. This will allow you to calculate the speed of the shaft, as well as the distance it has travelled; these are very useful measurements for autonomous programming. - Measure Angular Travel. - Determine Rotational Direction. - Calculate Shaft Speed. - Calculate Distance Travelled. - Increase Navigational Control. - More Autonomous Functionality.
