Facts about Japan earthquake and tsunami In 2011 a huge tsunami that was 23 feet tall waves crashed together and made a tsunami that hit the coast of Japan. The tsunami took many lives away from many inanest Japanese people and a Japanese coast guard ship went right over one of the tsunami waves. The tsunami caused a nuclear crisis in the nuclear power plant in Japan. The tsunami that hit Japan was 2 waves together There are still 3320 not found or missing in Japan. This year they have only found two dead in the rubble.
