Question 7 Are there any other gifts of the Minister that you rate highly? good listener, listens well to peoples' concerns, contributions. - educates, facilitates growing - eg. regarding difficult social issues. - ability to lead & plan worship well is very important - not just the sermon. For example, I appreciate the beautiful inspiring prayers and encouragement of community outreach during the services also. Communicate well with children and marginalized people - including those with disabilities and or low income. Singing and good story telling and working with children and helping to council people. Treat everyone the same, as a friend and an equal. Being involved with other activities going on in the church ie. flea market sale and soup and sandwich etc. personality to relate with all ages. involved in church activities to a limited degree. Time management, delegating. Preaching in a compassionate way, sounding happy not fearful or angry. Effective problem-solving, vision for the church, strong personal faith in God, awareness of not swearing or using the Lord's name in vain in front of children and youth. the interest and ability to get to know the individuals in the congregation. Non judgmental and accepting of all individuals. Not afraid to get hands dirty and work with everyone. Make the congregation think and strengthen. Ability to work with church groups. Someone who obviously enjoys life, even with all its up and downs. A sense of humour. The ability to go with the flow, but also control the ridiculous. Energetic, outgoing, interaction with other ministers in community and Presbytery. compassion, sense of humour, energy Humour

Question 7 Are there any other gifts of the Minister that you rate highly? Sense of humour - doesn't mean a jokster but able to laugh at self, situations, etc. Keeps things light while knowing what to be serious about. Ability to relate to the children. Sense of humor. Open minded. The ability to work at functions. eg. lunches, silent auction etc. Compassionate to all congregation A good listener They have to be funny and welcoming.

Q8 Do you have any other comments, questions, or concerns? I really hope that the church will continue to have the spirit of outreach and working for social justice and continue to grow in this. Encourages church members to be very involved in all the areas of church life. eg. worship, outreach, children's programming, pastoral care. Minister should not try to do all of this him/herself - motivate encourages. He or she must be able to sing in the choir too. A youthful minister with some years experience is better for the growth of the church, then a minister who is 10-15 yrs to retirement. younger, outgoing personality. communication to others who cannot attend services. More contact to adherents and former members - stewardship. Would love to see a young, ambitious minister who will help revive the young in our church. Continue to connect with other congregations in our thinking and beliefs and faiths. Appeal to the youth. Our new minister will bring his/her gifts and we will continue to grow because we have been awakened and do not want to be another church that has to close. We must appeal to the young and young at heart in worship. Youthful thinking, not waiting for retirement or retired. Not necessary to be on all committees or "in control" let the committees take responsibility. High energy level desired. Have good sense of play to lead a good team without being an autocrat. Preaching should come from the heart and from ordinary daily living (and from the Holy Spirit!!) Works well with staff and volunteers. Takes time for Sabbath. Welcoming to LGBT community. Not enough evangelism and youth are looking for this. Some old hymns and some praising that young people want and need. Baptist churches have gone to this style and are growing - more than old people in church. Encourage children to take part in service and music. I leave it in God's hands

Q8 Do you have any other comments, questions, or concerns? I leave it in God's hands I have full appreciation of the task that this committee is undertaking. Thank you. The gospels demand choice, we must become Love. Central has been in and out of my life, over the years, a church needs to follow the gospel and hold nothing back, the body of Christ is to be all the things Jesus is to be love in all of the forms of Jesus has taught, be doers of the word wholly and completely. Thank you for asking. I will help in any way to welcome our new minister. It will be nice to listen to new videos, modern music, when children can get more involved as well as the rest of congregation. Keep it fun. We need more youth involvement. I would like to see someone young full of energy yet still able to relate to seniors. Would like to have a younger minister who is energetic and a creative thinker. If you don't find a suitable candidate, try again.

Q9: Thank you for your opinions Answered: 79 Skipped: 1
