The Scope of Operations Management Operations management people are involved in product and service design, process selection, selection and management of technology, design of work systems, location planning, facilities planning, and quality improvement of the organization’s products or services. Why Learn about Operations Management? Working together successfully means that all members of the organization understand not only their own role, they also understand the roles of others. Because operations management is central to the functioning of all business organizations. Operations Management and Decision Making The chief role of an operations manager is that of planner and decision maker. Most decisions involve many possible alternatives that can have quite different impacts on costs or profits.

Operation management Operation management is the management system that create goods and provide services. Supply chain is the sequence of organization.
