AIMS AND PURPOSES Even opportunities for rural areas and hard to reach communities - social inclusion Encouragement – Increased awareness A cross sector and cross subject project with universities, science centres and schools. Formal and informal education Bring together universities, research institutes and science centres in the Nordic countries, Spark interest and self-confidence in children and teenagers for learning and discovering Connect natural sciences, technique, art and innovation between different school stages, institutes and industry Encourage new methods in formal and informal education Combine educational value an entertainment for all age groups by using interactive and dynamic pedagocial approaches Offer oppurtunities to present local businesses, innovation and knowledge complanies Providing oppurtunities for reaching remote areas, or hard to reach communities, that seldoma have access to events of this type, opening up new possibilities of social inclusion

Science Opera on the theme of sound. Produced two workshops based on Biophilia and STEAM methods, „Whispering Moon“ and „Light“. Learning day for teachers on methods of STEAM. Vísindasetrið Technichus í Harnössand annast útfærslu Þekkingarlestarinnar. Technichus, í nánu samstarfi við Samtök sænskra vísindasetra (Swedish Union of Science Centres) hefur tekið að sér að þróa sérstakt smáforrit (app) til þess að meta og veita endurgjöf á upplifun gesta á „hreyfanlegum“ vísindaviðburðum. Þetta er lykilatriði í endurmati á Háskólalestinni, og mikilvægt þar sem verið er að mæla upplifun gesta , fremur en áþreifanlegan árangur.   (Aðrar matsaðferðir verða þó notaðar við heildarmat á Norrænu þekkingarlestinni í heild, þ.e. hverju skilaði það fyrir sjálfa samstarfsaðilana) Í samstarfi við Samtök sænskra vísindasetra verður skipulagt átak þar sem félagar í samtökunum eru hvattir til þess að vera með færanlegan vísindaviðburð í sínu hérað. Gert er ráð fyrir að um 10 setur taki þátt (af samtals 20). Öll setur eiga að vera með minnst 4 ólíka viðburði, sem tengjast 4 ólíkum vísindagreinum. Technichus tekur að sér að útfæra og koma í notkun appi (smáforriti) sem þróað hefur verið nýlega af vísindamönnum í Chalmers háskólanum til þess að mæla upplifun nemenda og tilfinninga viðbrögð. Þetta verður lagað að vísindaviðburðum og notað í framangreindum ferðum. Technichus fer í ferð í sínu byggðarlagi og útfærir sinn eigin viðburð með minnst minnst 4 ólíka viðburði, sem tengjast 4 ólíkum vísindagreinum. Ferðin tekur 2 daga. Samstarfsaðilar eru m.a. Samtök sænskra vísindasetra, Menningar- og fræðslusvið Harnössand , Murberget safnið og Mittuniversitet i Sundsvall.
