Unit 6 Fractions

Day 1 Harvey is having a birthday party. He knows that all of his friends love pizza. He invites 3 three friends to his party. How should Harvey cut his pizza so that everyone gets the same amount?

Day 1 Right after Harvey cut his pizza into 4 slices the doorbell rings!! Four more friends show up to Harvey’s party. How can Harvey make sure everyone has an equal slice now?

Day 1 How many slices are left? 1 8 + 1 8 + 1 8 = 3 8
