Presentation transcript:

Our journey into all things oats began when our busy lives got in the way of cooking at home and dining out. We set out to create delicious, nourishing and convenient food options that fit with our love of great – REAL – food and passion for active and healthy living. At first we followed the traditional oat path, making tasty breakfast preparations that attracted a loyal following. Then one evening, Chef Sacco was about to cook dinner when she realized that she was out of pasta, rice, and potatoes, but she had plenty of steel cut oats. Eureka! They look like rice, they cook like rice, so why not use them like rice – for dinner!

High Protein High Fiber Heart Healthy Gluten Free Low Glycemic Index Oats are a complete protein source meaning that they contain all 9 essential amino acids. Steel cut oats rank higher than quinoa in a per 100g comparison. High Fiber Steel cut oats are simply cut a few times with a steel disk; therefore, they contain their outer bran. The bran contains the good stuff – the fiber rich layer with B vitamins and trace minerals. Heart Healthy Oats contain high levels of β-Glucan which reduce serum-LDL cholesterol. The cholesterol lowering effect of oats is why they have been dubbed heart healthy. Gluten Free By their nature, oats are gluten free. We take every precaution to keep them this way. All of our products are certified gluten free – no cross contamination here! Low Glycemic Index Low-GI foods release glucose more slowly and steadily. This means that oats will keep you full longer and give you sustained energy throughout your day.
