Doers - Things We Can Do Now Help Someone in Need

Help Someone in Need James 1:27 – “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble”

Help Someone in Need Isaiah 1:16-19 – “Learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.” Micah 6:8 – “And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God”

Help Someone in Need Luke 10:25-37 – “So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves? And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise”.

Help Someone in Need Matthew 25:31-40 – “I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me”

Encourage Someone Hebrews 3:12-13 – “Beware, brethren lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort (encourage) one another daily”

Encourage Someone Hebrews 10:24-25 – “let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works… exhorting (encouraging) one another”

Encourage Someone Ephesians 4:29 – “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification (building up)”

Encourage Someone I Thessalonians 2:18-3:3 – “sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and encourage you concerning your faith”

Doers - Things We Can Do Now Help Someone in Need Encourage Someone Resist Temptation

Resist Temptations James 1:12-16 – “Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive that crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”

Resist Temptations I John 2:1-2 – Romans 6:10-13 – “My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin” Romans 6:10-13 – “reckon yourselves to be dead to indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts”

Resist Temptations I Corinthians 10:12-13 – “God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it”
