Grizzly Bear By Ethan Thase

Population There are 1,800 left in the wild.

appearance Fluffy fur Big teeth Black nose Big brown body: 8ft. Tall 800 lbs.

Characteristics Grizzly bears are especially adapted to the changing seasons. Grizzly bears sleep most of the day.

Grizzly bear diet Grizzly's diet includes: seeds, berries, roots, grasses, fungi, deer, elk, and fish. They can eat 90 pounds of food a day!

Why it is endangered People hunted them for their soft fur.

Habitat They can be found in plains and dens.

How this animal is being protected. They are being transferred to wildlife preserves.

Other things we can do. End hunting season.

Fun facts! They live to be about 15 years old. They only attack if you are being mean. Some people have them as pets.
