FC Bellevue Parent Info Night 2017-18’

FC Bellevue FC Bellevue offers soccer to youth in the Bellevue community as means to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship and leadership. We aim to develop youths into confident and proactive adults through premier competitive soccer.

Who is FC Bellevue (FCB): FC Bellevue is dedicated to providing premier soccer to youth in the communities of Bellevue, Kirkland, and Newcastle. FC Bellevue is an independent, high level soccer club based in Bellevue, whose purpose is to develop and strengthen technical and tactical skills while building leadership with all kids involved.  FCB provides consistent, professional coaching, and is not a feeder program to any other club. Our mission is to train our children and young adults into elite level soccer players, while promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship and leadership. Through athletics, we develop our players into high character individuals that are confident and contributing members of our community.

Overview: FC Bellevue is not an oversized ‘foundation’ focused on profit margins. We are a community based Premier Soccer Club, that is focused on bringing the best possible professional training to our community on the Eastside. In only our second year, we train approximately 200 players, with 80% of our club residing in Bellevue. With our dynamic coaches and academy style training system, we have players coming to FC Bellevue from Sammamish, Issaquah, Maple Valley, Snohomish, Wenatchee, and Spokane. This influence will continue to grow the club inside and outside of the community.

Jack Hackworth, Philadelphia Union “If we concentrated less on results at an early age, and more on technical development and this idea of kids falling in love with the game, they would be much better off…” Jack Hackworth, Philadelphia Union

Advantages of FC Bellevue: FCB is not a recreational program, we are a premier soccer club, with a highly skilled and Licensed Coaching staff. FCB’s emphasis is on Player Development. It is our focus to help players reach their goals of playing competitive soccer at Club, State Academy, High school and/or College levels FCB will provide: Curriculum for consistent player development Challenging and fun training environment Development of individual players in a continuum Speed & Conditioning training with specialized training instructor (Coach Howie) Academy Training Style, keeps the players working with larger groups and Our club is dually sanctioned and play season games in the PSPL & SPL With FCB’s acceptance into the Super Premier League (SPL), we will now have teams that will compete regionally and in tournaments nationwide.

FC Bellevue Curriculum: (Italian Academy Training) Empoli FC academy is the most successful soccer developmental program in Europe. The success of this program has been demonstrated by the numerous academy victories and talent transfers to the Series A football clubs and throughout Europe.  The ‘Empoli FC Academy Curriculum’ applies the basic philosophy of “from simple to complex,” starting from simple practices to more complex game situations. Progression through the curriculum builds on basic technical skills of ball handling, passing, receiving, defense and possession to more advanced tactical and strategic skills.  Additionally Empoli FC Curriculum adds training to develop explosion, coordination, agility and speed-the other attributes needed for a successful soccer player.
