National Space Park Vision Develop a global hub & collaborative community based on Space and Space-enabled technologies Ambitious initiative to support UK’s ability to capture & develop economic growth opportunity Brokering new markets drawing on space derived data Developing fields of space informatics & space enabled engineering Medium term impact on downstream growth & upstream demand Meeting the skills needs of the sector National infrastructure, complementing Harwell & other regions

Government wants this to happen National Space Policy Jan 2016 “Government will ensure that the growth benefits of the space industries are felt at local level as well as nationally, linking with Local Enterprise Partnerships and the Devolved Administrations. It will support “downstream” clusters of companies that can utilise space to deliver innovative products or services into space enabled markets that align with local smart specialisations.”
