Monday, October 10th Today’s agenda Turn in ch 5 quiz corrections to the basket on the side counter Chapter 5 review assignment passed back Tutorial groups Time for last minute questions Ch 4-6 test tomorrow! Make sure you bring your ch 6 review assignment and a calculator

Tutorial Groups Over the weekend you were to write 3 questions you still need help with related to chapter 6 Form a group of 4 to discuss your questions Your job is to help your groupmates find the answers to their questions, NOT hand them answers Showing is better than telling Use notes, textbooks, and each other as resources Show your thought processes on a large whiteboard When there’s about 15-20 minutes left, I will bring the whole class together for time to ask questions

Points of Emphasis Note that this is not a comprehensive list of everything that will be on your test, but rather a suggestion for how to prioritize your studying Chapter 4 Net ionic equations Solution stoichiometry Particle views Chapter 5 Ideal gas law Gas stoichiometry Conceptual ideas related to the IGL and KMT Particle views and graphs Chapter 6 Conceptual understanding of heat, energy, and the 1st law of thermodynamics Heat transfers: q = mCΔT Reaction enthalpy Heat of formation and Hess’s Law
