Personal questions Why are you at stout/in your major? I am at Stout because I am interested in the Graphic Design program Stout has to offer, and I believe it is an awesome school for all of the art programs. Graphic Design has many different opportunities and different options for me to look at and perform. It’s something I have always been interested in, and have passion towards. What are your career goals? My career goals I have are endless in the Graphic Design area. I am interested in any kind of layout design, such as magazines, brochures, posters, etc. and also logos or t-shirt design. My goal is to find a designing job that fits what I like to do. How are you unique? I am unique because I am a very optimistic person, I work well with others, I am very flexible in all circumstances, I believe I am creative, and overall, I am a well-rounded individual.

Artist/Designer Statement My name is Brianna Ihrke, and I come from the small town of St. Charles, MN. I attend UW-Stout, and am a Graphic Design major. I chose Stout because of the awesome art programs they have to offer and Graphic Design, I feel, suits me in the way that I am a creative person, and I love art and design. Graphic Design has so much to offer in the way that there are so many different opportunities and a huge range of jobs out there that I could get being a Graphic Design major. I like to have a lot of options, and I love art and design so why not?! My career goals are to find a job that I will enjoy doing. I love designing any kind of layout designs such as magazines, brochures, posters, adds, etc. And even t-shirt designs or packaging design. One of my dream jobs is cake decorating. I love cooking/baking and putting design into baking makes it even better! I could watch the food channel all day! One good trait I have is that I’m very flexible. I am willing and able to to a lot of things. Also, I am a very optimistic person, and I have a positive attitude about mostly everything. I am creative, I work well with others, I have good leadership skills, I like meeting new people and overall, I am a well-rounded person. Coming out of a small town and being in my second year of college made me even more excited about the design world and learning more and developing better skills makes me anxious to get out in the real world and keep doing something that I love.

Studio7 Designs Creative design and development Web Design Logo Design Studio7 Designs is a company that I found on the web, and it uses all kinds of designing such as web design, logo design, packaging design, etc, pretty much everything you can think of. I found their designs very appealing because they everything works together, the fonts used, the colors, and layouts. They are just ammusing to me. And still very simpe and not any crazy, overwhelming designs.

Studio 7 design

Core77 Core 77 is a magazine with all kinds of design shows or companies and stores. The Millan 2011 satellite shows in particular I liked because of the use of home goods and how simple and creative the designs are.

Peter Bilak Peter Bilak is a typeface designer. His work is creative, fun, and sophisticated at the same time. It’s very intriguing.

Max Huber Max Huber is a Graphic Designer that likes to use the style of late 50’s early 60’s. I like the look of this time period. An older kind of look is always a nice look that always catches my eye.
