God revealed to Noah His design for a way of escape from divine judgment. Noah did not invent the ark! God revealed salvation by His Spirit to Noah! He does the same for us – 2 Corinthians 4:6.

Does not use the word for pitch – zetteth Instead, uses the word for covering – kapher The storm “fell” on the ark, but God’s wrath was only below the atoning blood – in the flood. Our redeemer suffered instead – Psalm 42:7.

The ark rests on Ararat on the seventeenth day of the seventh month. The Lord commands the seventh month to become the first month at the institution of the Passover on the fourteenth day of the seventh month (now the first month). Jesus raises from the dead three days later (the seventeenth day of the month).
