Why were 70’s video games a huge hit at that time? Players from the 70’s missed the 70s, because at that time video games were new and people just started buying them and they liked them. When hits as Pong, Asteroids and Space Invaders It was indeed a great period for people at that time. Why were 70’s video games a huge hit at that time?

Here are some things for you to get the idea of the differences of games from the 70’s and games from today 1. 70’s games mostly used the dot metrics and now games now use pixels so that is why games today are more clear. ( but some games still use dot matrix but there are just more dots) 2. Back in the 70’s they did not have the technology we have today so their games were more simpler. 3. Nowadays there are more types of games from building to sports back then they only had a few categories. 4. Some games in the 70’s did look nice but some were laggy because computers were not as powerful than the ones of today.

Pong in the 70’s Nowadays, there are a lot of competitive games, like sports, fighting, building, adventure, and etc. Back in the 70s, there was only one way to decide the score, with the Atari's Pong. This is how you play there are two paddles and there is a ball and you need to keep the ball from falling into the wall, you need to move the paddles up and down to stop the ball if you don’t you lose. the game continued to thrive with a number of home releases, including consoles that only played to Pong! ( they were expensive!)

You can create your own pong! People are creating all games around the world at this very moment but I made mine with a special program call Scratch it’s a simpler version of coding most people call it block coding because you use blocks to code. (Do not have picture because it got deleted hen I got my new computer)
