History The British Columbia Liberal Party (also referred to as the BC Liberals) is a Centre-right provincial political Party in British Columbia, Canada. It was founded in 1903, 114 years ago. Party politics were introduced in 1903 provincial election with the formation of the British Columbia Conservative, the divided Conservatives faced the Liberals in the election of 1916 and lost. The party managed a bare majority win in the 1920 election and managed to govern after the 1924 election with the support of 2 independent Liberals. The Liberals managed to increase their vote in the 1928 election but lost close to half their seats.

Defending our Party All of the extra spending was necessary seeing as to how we wouldn't spend more unless we really needed it. The sudden increase is debt was due to a few bad apples in fiscal management as well as the necessary overspending in certain things. Rest assured this debt can be handled and was not invested so rashly as you might think. There was a shift in taxes to companies such as BC Hydro and ICBC in order to deal with the problems mentioned above. An increase or shift in taxes anywhere was only to compensate for the sudden debt increase that needed to be dealt with immediately.
