We are constantly looking at how we might evolve our NHS salary, pensions and benefits offering to more effectively support staff. This fact sheet sets out the current benefits and support available to our staff as employees of Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Health & wellbeing Staff benefits programme This offers a range of schemes which, if you choose to sign up, can save money and reduce your costs. The savings are made by reducing your gross salary in exchange for the benefits under the Staff Benefits Scheme, which will thereby reduce your tax, National Insurance contributions (NI) and pension contributions. The Staff Benefits Scheme is governed by strict rules from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). The benefit schemes currently available to Trust staff under ‘salary sacrifice’ includes: Car parking Childcare vouchers Cycle to work Car loan scheme Professional subscriptions Dolphin Restaurant   A wide variety of fresh hot and cold food, including healthy options  and a call order sandwich bar service, is provided on site. The Dolphin Restaurant is open 7 days a week 7am-7.30pm Accommodation Parkstone House is on the hospital site, with some rooms overlooking Poole Park, the boating lake and the bay. It has 214 ensuite self-contained spacious rooms, with internet and telephone access. Applications from staff and authorised visitors are welcomed for residential accommodation or short term lets.  Cycle maintenance URGE Cycles mobile bicycle mechanics visit the hospital to service and repair bikes for staff that cycle to work and offer a free MOT.  Service details can be found at www.urgecycles.co.uk Local discounts Discounts for local facilities such as gyms, and national discounts on everything from holidays to shopping as part of the www.healthservicediscounts.com scheme. Additionally, we have a range of Poole offers arranged for discounts at restaurants, takeaways, hair and beauty, fitness, travel, shops and pet services.
