Health Science Courses Mrs. Clenney 2016-2017 Late / Incomplete Work Absentee Policy 2016-2017 * My expectation is that ALL assignments be completed to a level of proficiency (70% or higher) and turned in on time* Printer and Internet issues are not an excuse for late work. * YES, WE DID SOMETHING IMPORTANT WHILE YOU WERE ABSENT. It is your responsibility to check with me the day you return to class to find out what you missed. * A student has two extra days to turn in any work assigned on a day a student was absent. If a quiz/test was administered on a day a student was absent, the quiz must be made up on the first day the student returns. If previously assigned work was due on the day of the absence, the work is due on the first day the student returns. Any assignment you are absent for will be entered as Incomplete until it is turned in. Course Standards Standards and objectives will be available and displayed for each class meeting. Topics covered come directly from course standards. Also, be aware that iPads, Kindles, etc.. are valuable devices. I am not responsible for you keeping up with them. Cheating Plagiarism * The teacher will notify the administration and contact parents if cheating / plagiarism occurs. Plagiarism is taking the ideas and writings of another and passing them off as one’s own. In this class, plagiarism includes... 1. turning in another’s work as one’s own 2. copying work from a friend before class (or while in another class) 3. including a source but failing to cite it 4. copying an author’s exact words and passing them off as one’s own Students caught plagiarizing will be referred to administration.
