Introduction from Chair SGRPES 5th Meeting last year Decision about TF for SBR to develop guidelines for SBR TF members: Dr. Bahrawar Jan (Pak), Ms. Nilima (SPC), Mr. Joseph (ADB), Ms. Bahrin Bakri and Mr. Micheal (UNESCAP) Consultative telephonic and email discussion TF revised the idea and develop TORs Focus on three aspects APES Seminar: SBR papers TORs to be shared by Mr. Michael Any direction of the SGRPES Agreement of the SGRPES

ADB’s SBR Programme Joseph Mariasingham (ADB) The five year program will end in Dec 2018 Five countries: Bhutan, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia and Sri Lanka Malaysia: Integrating trade data into SBR, exploring Big Data All other countries: fully functional SBR will be installed before the end of 2017 Advanced functionalities and features will be added in 2018 The SBR could be installed in at least two additional countries in 2018

TOR for the SBR Task Force To ensure that the work of the developmental organizations (SPCC, ESCAP, ADB, WB etc.) in this subject matter area is complementary and not duplicated To ensure that the activities of the organizations are well coordinated and synchronized so that the common objective is achieved in an effective and efficient manner (the ultimate goal is the establishment of a viable, functional and sustainable SBR in the Asia-Pacific countries) To collaborate and devise strategies/plans/solutions to address cross cutting issues faced by various countries (learning from each others' ground level experiences) To advocate the institutionalization of standardized data collection, cleaning, organization and analysis systems such as SBRs in the NSOs of the Region To assist the countries in the Region to establish a viable and sustainable SBRs within the scope and mandate of the technical assistance programs of the developmental organizations
