The Eradication of Condemnation Pastor Mark Schwarzbauer, Ph. D The Eradication of Condemnation Pastor Mark Schwarzbauer, Ph.D. Family Worship Center

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Part One: Confessions of Darkness

I Corinthians 6:9-11 “9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

I Corinthians 6:9-11 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”

I Corinthians 6:9-11 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” Washed- means whole person. Sanctified – made holy & set apart Justified – Just as if I never sinned

YOU MUST LIVE OUT YOUR FORGIVENESS If you don’t accept the forgiveness, the condemnation will lead you back into sin. If you don’t accept the forgiveness, you’ll try to extract payment from others. Beware that what you hate in yourself you will call attention to and distain in others. What is on the inside pours out when shaken.

Part Two: The Chains of Condemnation

THE CHAINS OF CONDEMNATION Condemnation- “the condition of being strongly disapproved of; a final judgment of guilty in a criminal case and the punishment that is imposed.”

THE CHAINS OF CONDEMNATION The Condemnation leaves you emotionally wrecked. Condemnation leaves you feeling worthless and inferior. It is often unconscious, and can drive afflicted individuals to overcompensate, resulting either in spectacular achievement or extreme antisocial behavior.

THE CHAINS OF CONDEMNATION The Condemnation paralyzes. The Condemnation pushes you to withdraw. The Condemnation abuses. The Condemnation cripples.

God knows your pain and has a plan to deliver you

Part Three: Jesus Took Your Condemnation

Jesus took your humiliation… Condemned and spit upon… Mark 14:64-65. Stripped naked, Matt. 27:28. Mocked… Matt. 27:29

John 3:16-18 16For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16-18 17“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-18 18“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their iniquities and I will remember their sins no more.

Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins.

I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

John 8:10-11 Straightening up, Jesus said to her, 'Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?' She said, 'No one, Lord.' And Jesus said, 'I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more.'

Part Four: Breaking the Chains

Receive God’s Forgiveness and Grace

Be renewed in your image Recognize the difference between acceptance and approval

Be renewed in your image See yourself as God sees you

Be renewed in your image Walk in the Spirit with the confirmation of whose you are

Be aware that forgiveness is not a license for sin – Romans 6. Breaking the Chains Be aware that forgiveness is not a license for sin – Romans 6.
