INTERNATIONAL BANKING ASSOCIATION PRESENTATION IBOS - Making Cross-border banking easier Introducing IBOS INTERNATIONAL BANKING ASSOCIATION PRESENTATION

GDP

Our unique global banking network IBOS IBOS is an international network which provides local cross-border banking services across the globe, through our network of many of the biggest banks in the world. Today’s global business needs truly global banking. The IBOS international network provides market-leading, comprehensive banking services in your international markets. “The IBOS banks find technical and practical solutions for our local subsidiaries. This means we have a single point of contact” - Norbert Huhn, head of accounting, Miele

About IBOS ABOUT IBOS The IBOS Association is an international banking alliance, whose members are major commercial banks. There is no such thing as a truly Global Bank – a bank that is able to meet all of its customers’ demands in all countries. Usually, a “Global Bank” has a full service set in a few countries, and a more superficial capability in several others. What this means is that businesses who rely on effective and thorough cash management across multiple global regions cannot necessarily depend on their bank to provide that service on its own. That’s why IBOS was created: to create an international alliance of the major banks to enable them to share each other’s services and provide international clients with the full range of local banking support they need. Through IBOS, global business is able to work globally. “IBOS allows us to supplement our own global cash management services with a local banking network to support our innovative clients’ global growth.” Dena Stefanopoulos, Silicon Valley Bank

COVERAGE The IBOS global banking network provides international coverage with market-leading on-the-ground services in each country, through our unique alliance of some of the world’s largest banks. The IBOS service is growing all the time. We currently operate across 70% of the world, including throughout Central, Eastern and Western Europe, North and South America, and China.

Dietrich von Krosigk, director of administration and finance, Panasonic Electric Works Europe

Case Study SERVICES Lloyds Pharmacy We worked closely with Lloyds Pharmacy and UniCredit to refine an implementation plan for the DZero product which was delivered successfully. Benefits for Lloyds Pharmacy This international cash management solution has facilitated the movement of funds between Lloyds Pharmacy (subsidiary) and Celesio (parent) by moving an end of day available balance in Euro cross border from the Ulster Bank (Ireland) account to the account in Unicredit (Germany). The ability to centralise the cash positions results in a true aggregated position for Celesio / Lloyds Pharmacy. This product has brought great benefits and efficiencies to both Lloyds Pharmacy and Celesio. The solutions provided by the IBOS network included: Centralised cash positions Cross Border end of day balance transfers

Case Studies SERVICES “A CFO of a global company introduced American Express Credit Cards as the standard card for the group’s staff. At the end of a dinner there was an awkward moment when the restaurant informed the executive they only took Visa.“ IBOS Banks provide the credit cards accepted where you operate. “It took ten days for my global bank to issue a banker’s draft – all because it had to be produced in the operational centre in London, and not in their branch where I am.” IBOS produces bankers drafts in-country.

IBOS BANKS CONTACTS Network Co-Ordination IBOS Association has a central support office in London, which coordinates the streams of work and the definitions of messages and processes that make IBOS a truly effective network.
