It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey… 35 The Israelites ate manna forty years…

Manna Found on the ground in the morning… layer of dew, frost, thin flakes – “Angels food”, bread from heaven Appeared every night but Friday (told not to gather on the Sabbath) … Gathered too much… stinking maggot infestation 16:20-24 Tasted like wafers/honey 16:31… Israelites ate manna for 40 years 16:35

Numbers 11:31 31 Now a wind went out from the Lord and drove quail in from the sea. It brought them down all around the camp to about three feet above the ground, as far as a day's walk in any direction.

The Split Rock at Horeb

Ps 105:41 He opened the rock, and water gushed out; like a river it flowed in the desert. Notice the man

Looking up the 40’ hill where the 20’ tall split Rock at Horeb prominently sits!

Isa 48:21 They did not thirst when he led them through the deserts; he made water flow for them from the rock; he split the rock and water gushed out.

Notice the water erosion!

Don’t become accustomed to God and spiritual matters

II. Israelites arrive at Mt Sinai… God descends in Shekinah Glory

Exodus 19:16-20 16 On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled. 17 Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. 18 Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the LORD descended on it in fire. The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, the whole mountain trembled violently, 19 and the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder. Then Moses spoke and the voice of God answered him. 20 The LORD descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up…

God descends on Sinai in Shekinah Glory Thunder & lightning Thick glory cloud over the mountain Very loud trumpet blast… Mt Sinai covered with smoke Smoke billowed as from a furnace Lord descended to the top of Mt Sinai in fire Whole mountain trembled violently Trumpet sound grew louder & louder Moses spoke & the voice of God answered Moses went up to meet God

Hebrews 12:21, 28-29 The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, "I am trembling with fear."… 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our "God is a consuming fire."
