CAS (Car Access System)

CAS The CAS combines the up to now separate installed components - ignition starter switch - vehicle immobilization system EWS - functions of the control electronics

CAS The ignition starter switch is the electro-mechanical part of the CAS The switch exists of ignition lock with electro-mechanical release lock - start/stop button - coil for checking the transponder and for charging the accumulator (battery)

CAS The CAS is the electronical part The CAS is connected with - door modules - seat modules - power module The CAS has Master-functions for - central locking - power windows The CAS controles - remote control - terminal monitoring - EWS - engine start - starter control

CAS Vehicle Key

CAS Terminal selection if brake is not activated terminal 30 terminal R terminal 30 terminal 15

CAS The engine can be started in all terminal selections, if - the brake is activated - P- or N-position is detected The engine will stop running, if - the car stands and the start/stop button is pressed After the engine stops the terminal „R“ is active

CAS EWS-Functions

CAS The vehicle order in the CAS - replaces the central coding key, ZCS - describes the current version of the vehicle - varys in length depending on vehicle equipment The vehicle order will be sored in the vehicle together with the pre-initialization in the factory plant

CBS-Data (Condition Based Service) CBS-Data are stored CAS CBS-Data (Condition Based Service) CBS-Data are stored - in the remote control - in the EEPROM of the CAS Data stored: - configuration of the CBS - vehicle identification number VIN - type of vehicle - FA-Data - dealership coding - current vehicle version - CBS-Data - check-control-data - fault memory data

CAS Redundant Data Storage To make sure that in the event of replacing the instrument cluster the vehicle specific data will not get lost, those data are stored redundant in the CAS.

FH (Power Windows)

FH List of Functions -closing and opening of the windows -child safety lock -comfort opening/closing -repetition lock -high load shut-off New: -emergency close -smooth start / smooth stop -motor synchronization -indirect jam protection

FH

FH Smooth Start Smooth Stop

FH Emergency Close Phase 1: - hold the position „CLOSE“ and keep it if jam protection is detected the window opens for 20 mm Phase 2: - release the switch and within 4 s hold it in the position „CLOSE“ again - window closes without jam protection with maximum power

FH Indirect Jam Protection

FH Initialization - press switch FH open for 15 –25 s - release switch and close the power window immediately – initialization starts - keep the switch hold until the end of the initialization

Central Locking (ZV) and Soft Close Automatic

Central Locking (ZV) and Soft Close Automatic New (only US): single unlocking via center lock switch (CLT)

Central Locking (ZV) and Soft Close Automatic Soft Close Automatic (SCA): door lock with integrated drive Drive can take 2 positions: - stand-by position - park position

FBD (Remote Control)

FBD Remote Control ZV (central locking) Tele-start hand sender Integrated Universal Remote Control

Integrated Universal Remote Control -replaces up to 3 hand sender FBD Integrated Universal Remote Control -replaces up to 3 hand sender -signal of the original hand sender must be programed on the buttons of the remote control -system runs only with remote frequency -transmission of the signal is displayed by the LED program buttons LED
