Chapter 30: External Relations 3. 1. TERMINATION OF FTAs Ukraine Article 59, paragraph 3 “Without prejudice to Article 4, on the day of the accession of each Party of this Agreement to the European Union, this Agreement shall cease to be effective.” EFTA Article 50, paragraph 2 “ On the day of accession of Montenegro to the European Union, this Agreement shall, ipso facto, cease to be effective. ” CEFTA Article 51, paragraph 3 “The Parties agree that in the event of any eligible Party becoming a member of the European Union, that Party will withdraw from this Agreement. Chapter 30: External Relations 3. 2. TERMINATION OF FTAs Turkey Article 36, paragraph 3 “The Parties agree that, in case of accession of one of the Parties to this Agreement to the European Union, the Agreement will be terminated on the previous day before the date of the accession to the EU.” Russian Federation Article 21, paragraph 2 “This Agreement is concluded for an unlimited period and this Agreement shall cease to be effective after six months from the day of written notification to the other Party about intention to terminate this Agreement.” M O N T E N E G R O Negotiating Team for the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union Chapter 30: External Relations
