National membership body– not for profit care providers – across spectrum of homecare, learning disability and residential care for older people Support through sharing best practice, supporting leadership development Keeping the not for profit voice at the table Working with partners across the sector

Why supported housing? Benefit reform Costs - £2.4bn older people £1.7bn Working age (17%) Supported Accommodation Evidence Review Localisation – local outcomes, oversight and cost control

What is the model? Framework HB will pay for core rent and eligible service charge upto LHA. Top up funding for housing costs applied through localised commissioning – ideally integrated

What are the key issues raised in the consultation? Fair access to funding inc Ringfence Expectations about local roles and responsibilities Oversight and assurance Balance between local flexibility and provider certainty – particular focus on supply Funding model for short term accommodation

How might it affect your services? Timeframe Information to existing tenants Dependent on client group? Commissioning periods – impact on development and tenancy rights/types of tenancy issued etc.. How will new needs be met Local relationships between capital and revenue costs – potentially different tiers?
