TurningPoint ResponseWare Advice for Students

What is TurningPoint Turning Technologies are a company that provide a leading product in voting system solutions - think “who wants to be a millionaire” TurningPoint is the software that embeds question slides within Microsoft Powerpoint. Student responses can be gathered using physical voting system handsets OR via an online app called ResponseWare

ResponseWare Responseware turns mobile devices into virtual clickers. Participants can respond to interactive questions with any web-enabled device including smartphones, tablets, laptops or desktops. Android and Apple apps are available plus a Web Link

ResponseWare There are three ways as a student you can participate in voting system questions By using a physical handset (if provided with one) By downloading the “ResponseWare” app from the Apple Store (iPhone/iPad) or Play Store (Android) Via a web address https://responseware.turningtechnologies.eu/responseware or https://goo.gl/jLsoIs https://goo.gl/jLsoIs

Accounts Please note that that as a Student you do not need to create a Turning Technologies Account to use the TurningPoint system. All you need as an appropriate device (mobile phone, tablet or laptop) of your choice or a physical clicker if available.

Set Your Server Settings After downloading the app – access the settings area From the App click on the top left icon which opens the setup panel and then select the “Settings” option and under Region make sure you choose Europe

App Settings A very important – ensure that you connect to the Europe server otherwise you won’t be able to connect If you have made an error you can click on the settings option within the app and change the server.

Session ID When the session is set up you will be given a Session ID that you need to input into the app in order to answer questions. You should not be prompted to enter any user details – if you are prompted then check your Server setting is definitely Europe If you are still prompted for user details please do not enter any data - just add “Enter Session ID” and click on “Join Session”
