Presentation transcript:

BELL Work (5 min.) Turn to page 8 in your notebook and set up today’s pages (8-9): Look back at your foldable and Under your “IN” List two of earth’s spheres that can interact with each other. Then, explain the interaction (like the hurricane example yesterday). **Be ready to show me your foldable for 10 points!

Objectives & Learning Goals: Geologists CAN: Use webquest to describe various interactions between Earth’s spheres including the geosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere. Level 4 I can investigate how the Earth’s spheres interact during a natural disaster such as a hurricane, volcano, etc. Level 3 I can differentiate and describe the various interactions among Earth systems, including: atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, geosphere, and biosphere. Level 2 I can illustrate an interaction between Earth’s spheres. Level 1 With help I can describe the key parts of the Earth’s spheres.

Today’s AGENDA Bellwork – Review yesterday Seat changes? – You can pick but you must find someone you have not partnered with yet this year. Go over webquest directions Complete webquest OUT

Yesterday’s FOLDABLE!- THROUGH – p. 7 Make sure you complete this before starting webquest today. Inside Front (folded) Geosphere Hydrosphere and Cryosphere Atmosphere Biosphere Geosphere description Earth System All of the matter, energy, and processes within Earth’s boundary. Hydrosphere & Cryosphere description Atmosphere description Biosphere description

Webquest! We will watch the video in task 2 together because some laptops block it. You will most likely use more than 1 through page.

Out – Answer on bottom of page 8. Write down 2 things you learned from today’s webquest. Be specific!
