Picking Events 15 people on a team 23 events – most require 2 people, some require 3 people => Last year = 47 slots to fill Every event counts the same => no unimportant events Don’t signup for only building events Be mindful of the events you could really compete in given your academic background Our expectation is to medal in every event.

Membership Requirements All members must represent the Brookwood Science Olympiad Program in a way that brings honor to the program. agree to treat all Science Olympiad personnel with the respect they deserve. agree to abide by the highest standards of academic honesty both in Science Olympiad and in my academic coursework. Science Olympiad is a team competition. The poor decisions of an individual can have serious implications for the team. In order to protect the reputation and success of the team, students receiving disciplinary consequences for cheating or other serious offenses may be ineligible for Science Olympiad for the remainder of the school year.
Next Meeting- September 1st Fundraising Bring 10 Stamps, 10 REAL addresses of people/companies that might be willing to support us. Every registered, paid member that participates in the fundraiser and returns the permission slip will be in at least one of the first three competitions Donors can choose to split the donation between the student and the team. Students accounts are zeroed at the end of the year. Students may opt out by bringing a check for $100. The opt out fee will not be split.
