In the Fog by Milton Geiger Create a collage that depicts the accomplishments and character traits of an important historical figure Follow the directions below to complete the activity. Choose an important figure in the Civil War to research. Use “Safari” to search for pictures of your person and their position/side in the Civil War. Save the pictures to the camera roll. Open the app “Pic Collage” Tap in the middle of the screen to create a new collage. Tap on square in bottom left corner and then change frame to choose layout design. Change background by tapping same square button. Tap the + to add your picture of your person. Continue until all your pictures are added. (should have at least 3) Touch and drag photos to the positions you would like on your collage. Tap + sign to add text to explain your photos. Use pen to change color of text and the bucket to change the background of text box. Drag text to locations on collage. Tap the arrow in bottom right corner and save to library. This task uses: Pic Collage Common Core/NG Standard(s): W.6.8 - Gather relevant information from multiple print and digital sources; assess the credibility of each source; and quote or paraphrase the data and conclusions of others while avoiding plagiarism and providing basic bibliographic information for sources.
