Born with extraordinary powers and possibilities

Together we make a positive difference

It’s a gift that will last a lifetime and transform their lives. Children grow to fill the space we create for them, and if it’s big, they grow tall. The best present we can give our children is the chance to do something great. It’s a gift that will last a lifetime and transform their lives. Jonathan Sacks, 2008

Transition Data Data collection sheets go out within a few days of the National Offer day. This enables the students to be on our system as early as possible with as much Midyis testing on Induction day – this has been even more important this year with the changes to the KS2 results as it is a baseline measure we already use and understand. NCA website – we used this to access our KS2 results the day they were released. The format was relatively easy to use and we were able to put onto SIMS the Reading and Maths scores. We also included the writing as information for staff. Having the KS2 and Midyis before the end of term meant targets were set for students in plenty of time for the start of the new academic year. This assessment data, together with DA, SEN and EAL was also added for class teachers to assist with the seating plans. Although all students are issued with targets, PE, Art, Creative Arts carry out their own baseline assessments usually by October half term.

Quality feedback from primary teachers Pastoral team- full time transition worker into Year 7 5 years form tutor

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. — Steve Jobs
