More Specific Classification Kingdoms are the second largest group of living things after Domains Translation: Domains are BIGGER and BROADER than Kingdoms There are 6 Kingdoms Archaebacteria Eubacteria Protists Fungi Plantae Animalia

Kingdom Archaebacteria Are in the Domain Archaea Unicellular Can be autotrophic or heterotrophic Reproduce Asexually Are not mobile (cannot move) Live in extreme places (extremophiles)

Streptococci- bacteria that gives you strep throat Kingdom Eubacteria Are in the Domain Bacteria Unicellular Can be Autotrophs or Heterotrophs Reproduce Asexually They live everywhere except extreme places The population of Eubacteria on Earth is more than the population of any other kingdom. Most Eubacteria are helpful but some cause infection Streptococci- bacteria that gives you strep throat

Kingdom Fungi All are in the Domain Eukaryotes Slime Mold All are in the Domain Eukaryotes Most fungi are multicellular, but some (like yeast) are unicellular Include yeasts, mushrooms and molds Found mostly on land Fungi are decomposers One of two kingdoms that is entirely Heterotrophic This means fungi cannot make their own food Fungi reproduce both sexually and asexually Mushrooms Lichens
