Habits of Creative Kids

Be Proactive Take responsibility for your learning. Practice new skills at home. Pay attention to directions in class. Raise your hand and ask for help if you don’t understand.

Begin with the end in mind Artists make a plan Use the elements of art and the principles of design when making your project.

Put First Things First Put your first and last name on your paper and listen to directions.

Think Win-Win When you listen to directions the first time we all have more time to create.

Seek First to Understand… Listen before talking Let the other person finish talking before you think of what you are going to say Look at art through another person’s eyes.

Together is Better Help clean up even if you did not make the mess. Remember next time you may be the one who needs help. Share supplies, smiles and kind words. Together is Better

Balance in Life and Art feels best Is your finished project using the principle of balance? Are you moving the viewer’s eyes through your work?
