Overview Why did we set the group up? To improve the quality of research conducted by the National Addiction Centre, King’s College London What sort of a model did we have in mind? Collaborative How did we set the group up? Aurora Project, London Service User Council, personal contacts How does the group run? Monthly face-to-face meeting at the Aurora Project Email contact between meetings Attachment to particular projects as subject experts Writing projects What resources do we have? Approximately £2k per year from the BRC for Mental Health at KCL Funded projects pay for their own advice Commitment and interest from SURG members & Addiction Department researchers (and plenty of good will & reciprocity) Now over to the group members
