Local Disaster Response Coordination Group (LDRCG) Once a disaster event has occurred, in the interest of speedy and simplicity in disaster response management, coordination should be carried out at the lowest possible level of government organization, with a minimum of reorganization. Responsibilities of LDRCG) 1. Establish a local emergency operation centre. Liaise with the higher authority in order to inform the situation and obtain fed back. Organize a directory with listing of local and national resources (human, infrastructural and financial) that can be used for this disaster incident. Coordinate with armed forces team (if they are in). Evaluate disaster situation and activate systems and procedures for disaster response and early recovery. Mobilize resources and team for disaster response. Ensure effective dissemination of warning signals. Coordinate response and early recovery activities.
