Back from Break 3-20-17 Tom Mealy Mechanical Engineer Eng 2, 105 tjm@engr.uconn.edu 486-3711 Labview: I reviewed all the requests for DAQ equipment after our meeting in FLC on 3-8-17. -Some of you only need handheld thermocouple readers. I will distribute any equipment as you actually need it. -Priority to those with working rigs or already have Labview on the project and just additional DAQ modules. -$10k worth of new hardware on the way. The Labview hardware stays with me, it is NOT part of the deliverable to the sponsor.
Blower Motor: I just rec’d a new 3 phase, 3hp motor and variable speed controller. I’ll need a week to work out final drive pulleys, electrical, etc. -If you are ready to take data on the blower use the current motor and then again on the new system to see what the actual improvement is. Going forward I will be in FLC during the Wednesday class time for help, advice, etc. Please email me to arrange any other times you’d like my help. 20 packages in ME office!!! -Tom Mealy
