ROME, OUR CITY…

Rome, the Eternal City , is a fantastic place to visit. It is a city that captures your heart. Very vibrant, great sights, good food, temperate climate and generally a great place to hang out.

The City is placed on the banks of the Tiber but it is easily accessible. The best way to discover Rome is by foot, or, if you like, on cycles that you can rent. Rome’s visit is not complete without having seen its magnificent Colosseum, or AMPHITHEATRE FLAVIUS: a vast Amphitheatre with seating for 55,000 that was designed as a horse racing circuit and arena for animal fighting and gladiatorial battles.

Rome is an open air museum, too! Starting from Colosseum, you can see CONSTANTINE'S ARCH and CIRCO MASSIMO, one of the largest stadia in Rome, the Palatine Hill - known for its ruins of ancient imperial places and for being the place where Rome has its origins; The Church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin - Cosmedin means "Ornate", an adjective that the church received because of its beauty - and its Mouth of Truth : Bocca della Verità sculpture… Then Piazza Venezia and Piazza Spagna… Pantheon one of the great spiritual buildings of the world. It was built as a Roman temple and later consecrated as a Catholic Church; at the end Fontana di Trevi … The Cestia Pyramid in Rome a funerary monument, Porta San Paolo, HERMS OF CARACALLA named also "Antoniane" and placed in the homonymous street near the beginning of the famous Ancient Appia road.

You can't miss the occasion to visit the Vatican Museums, with the Sistine Chapel made by Michelangelo and the marveillous Raphael Stanze; GALLERIA BORGHESE with its family collection.

Rome contains an exceptional artistic patrimony, glorious testimony to its great past. It is impossible not to like this amazing city!

Rome is not only famous for its breathtaking sites and rich history, The City is magnificent, the people friendly and the food delicious… There are many good quality eating places from pizzerias and trattorias (that are run by families), to more hip and fancy restaurants. Roman cuisine is known to satisfy hunger with its savory flavors and simplicity. Examples of these include "Saltimbocca alla Romana" ,"Carciofi alla giudia", "Carciofi alla romana", with mint, garlic, breadcrumbs and braised; "Spaghetti alla carbonara" with bacon, eggs and pecorino, and "Gnocchi di semolino alla romana", Pasta cacio e pepe in a creamy olive oil, pecorino cheese and black pepper sauce, pasta all’arrabbiata, trippa, abbacchio, porchetta, paiata…. But the top is Roman pizza... that you can find everywhere…so good!!
