I am NOT an IT person and get just as lost as anyone else. A bit about myself: Born and Raised in Texas – although I have lived some time out of the country. I have three grown daughters in college that are just awesome! Certified Teacher in Special Education since 1995 – focusing on inclusion support and Co-teach model. Learning Objectives Participants will: Identify the 6 most common student accommodations Create an assessment in Schoology with built in tools that include the accommodations Understand other readily available tools to meet students’ accommodations needs Providing accommodations (changes in how a student learns and shows what he/she knows) can be challenging. This workshop will explore examples of testing accommodations for students with disabilities and how to easily incorporate those accommodations during your assessment development with readily available tools. Participants will learn to merge two great tools, Schoology and Google Extensions, to create assessments that meet the needs of your students and provide you with time saving measures.

What if the student doesn’t have that accommodation? !! Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an approach to teaching that aims to give all students equal opportunities to succeed, no matter how they learn.
