Scheduling Timeline Middle school counselors will be meeting their 8th grade students on January 26th and 27th to discuss the scheduling process Friday, February 3rd – All pink scheduling forms are due to your middle school counselor All appeals to Dr. Bird by end of day Friday, February 3rd (google doc – under scheduling tab on guidance webpage)
Honors Courses Preparation for college-level work More critical thinking More intensive reading and writing assignments Self-discipline and motivation is necessary Good organizational skills are important
Honors/EC Courses Honors courses CAN be taken by EC freshmen in Math and Science Global Studies (English/World Geography) Criteria Used: SRI, CSI, ISTEP+ Results, Classroom grades Number of Honors Classes
Scheduling Checklist Seven semester courses selected for each semester (not including study hall) Six alternate courses selected Online course requests completed Parent and student signature
Once on Skyward you need to click on the “Schedule” tab on the left side of the page.

Scheduling Deadlines Course selection forms returned to middle school counselors on Friday, February 3rd Counselor meetings with incoming freshmen MS Central—February 21, 2017 MS North—February 23, 2017 Student Course Requests will not be changed after May 1, 2017
EC Acceptance Post Cards to accept your spot into the EC Class of 2021 were due January 13th to Mrs. Henry, the EC Administrative Assistant in the Main Office.
Schedule Change Policy Students will not be able to drop any course unless the request meets the following criteria: need to meet high school graduation requirements need to meet college entrance requirements need to balance over-crowded classes an error in computer entry late staff changes Requested changes related to teacher assignments, lunch assignments, and class periods. etc. will not be considered. Students who in enroll in year long courses are committing to the course for both semesters.
