What does electronic commerce services mean? Electronic commerce is the process by which businesses and consumers buy and sell goods and services through an Internet.

Benefits of E-Commerce Overcome Geographical Limitations (Access to Stores Located Remotely). Lower Costs Locate the Product Quicker No Need for a Physical Store Lots of Choices Stores Are Open All the Time Ability to Buy and Sell to Other Consumers Ease of Communication Reduced Employee Costs

E- commerce types of activities: Business to Consumer: B2C Business sells products or services directly to consumers over the Internet. Example: An individual purchasing a pair of sneakers through Nike's website. Business to Business: B2B Companies sell products or services to other companies over the Internet. Example: Company sell websites to other businesses. Consumer to Business: C2B Consumers selling products or services to businesses. Example: When an individual completed a paid online survey he/she give the opinion about a product. Consumer to Consumer: C2C Consumers sell products to other consumers. Example: would be one consumer selling something that he or she no longer needs or wants to another consumer via a site like eBay or Amazon.

E-Commerce ways/methods: Shopping using social media applications. Shopping using companies websites. Shopping using electronic stores

E-Commerce risks and how to be protected. Make sure that the URL of the website begins with a secure protocol: 'https'. If the URL protocol ends in an 's', the website is considered secure. Do not give any private information (such as credit card information) to any unknown party. Read website’s privacy and security policy. Read guest reviews and feedback. It is preferred to try to buy one product as a test for this website and wait before buy again until product is received.
