What character trait would you use to describe each of these Generals? In June 1864, the two armies (Grant’s and Lee’s) faced each other in Richmond, fighting for almost a year. Neither side would give up. What character trait would you use to describe each of these Generals? Here is a list of possible Character Traits to describe them: Courage- means acting bravely. Do what you believe to be good and right Patriotism- means working for the goals of your country Responsibility- is taking car of work that needs to be done (reliable and trustworthy)

What were some of the challenges that the Confederate army faced while fighting against Gen. Grant’s army? Grant’s army would not give up (persistent) The Union was able to receive resources-a steady supply of food, equipment, and soldiers. Confederate soldiers went hungry, and some began to desert. To desert means to leave the army without permission.
