INTRODUCTION IN THIS BRIEF PRESENTATION WE WILL LOOK MAINLY AT THE MARINE WORK COMPONENT UNDERTAKEN THROUGH THE SVG PA SYSTEM PLAN - TDP HIGHLIGHT PROPOSED ROLE OF NPA AS REGARDS MARINE WORK RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER MARINE PA AGENCIES PROPOSALS FOR MARINE PA RATIONALIZATION AND EXPANSION MENTION TWO OTHER AREAS OF WORK

System Plan Work Development of a PA System Plan for SVG for the first time – includes both terrestrial and marine PA’s Addressed the critical need for efficient and institutional coordination coordination Includes a PA Policy that covers both Terrestrial and Marine PA Espouses a method and approach for designation, declaration and even declassifying PA

Proposed NPA Role - Marine SVG PA SYSTEM REQUIRES MGT. AT TWO LEVELS: - System Level - Site Level NPA sees itself as having a primary role at system level mgt. (design, development, tech. support, monitoring and quality control) in keeping with mandate - NP Act Sect. 7 & 9 PA Site level mgt. done by respective PA agencies
