Beginning with the end in mind Today’s Teaching Walking by the Spirit Beginning with the end in mind

Romans 8 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Romans 8 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God lives in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

Romans 8 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God lives in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

Romans 8 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God lives in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10 Now if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then He who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through His Spirit who lives in you.

1st End to Keep in Mind: Believers will receive resurrected bodies in the end.

So what?

Bodily decay is unavoidable Romans 8 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 1st End to Keep in Mind: Believers will receive resurrected bodies in the end. Bodily decay is unavoidable

Body image just isn’t worth a heck of a lot Romans 8 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 1st End to Keep in Mind: Believers will receive resurrected bodies in the end. Obsessing over & investing heavily in trying to turn these bodies into “heavenly bodies” is a dead end street! 1st End to Keep in Mind: Believers will receive resurrected bodies in the end.

We show our foolishness when we evaluate and judge others based off external appearances. 1st End to Keep in Mind: Believers will receive resurrected bodies in the end.

We no longer need to fear death!!! 1st End to Keep in Mind: Believers will receive resurrected bodies in the end. How can we even know this is true? Romans 8 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God lives in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10 Now if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then He who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through His Spirit who lives in you. 1st End to Keep in Mind: Believers will receive resurrected bodies in the end. Was Jesus raised from the dead or not? Romans 8 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God lives in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10 Now if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then He who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through His Spirit who lives in you. Was Jesus raised from the dead or not?

Romans 8 14 All those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons. 15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!”

Romans 8 14 All those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons. 15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!” 2nd End to Keep in Mind: Believers are adopted as God’s forever children.

Romans 8 14 All those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons. 15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Pater!”

Therefore, we don’t need to go on living like orphans! Romans 8 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation for God’s sons to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility—not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it—in the hope 21 that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of corruption into the glorious freedom of God’s children. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together with labor pains until now.

Romans 8 4th End to Keep in Mind: It’s hard to think about leaving earth because earth really is our forever home. 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.

Romans 8 23 And not only that, but we ourselves who have the Spirit as the firstfruits — we also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for adoption, the redemption of our bodies. 24 Now in this hope we were saved, yet hope that is seen is not hope, because who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patience.

5th End to Keep in Mind: Our groaning reveals there is more to come. 5th End to Keep in Mind: Our groaning reveals there is more to come. Therefore, we can take great risk & live all out for Christ because we know the best this world has to offer won’t be around for long. 5th End to Keep in Mind: Our groaning reveals there is more to come.

“Ends” to Keep in Mind Believers will receive resurrected bodies in the end. Believers are adopted as God’s forever children. Believers are heirs in God’s kingdom. It’s hard to think about leaving earth because earth really is our forever home. Our groaning reveals there is more to come.
