Kindernews Mrs. Walk – March 6-10 Peek-at-the-Week Math Special Class SIGHT WORDS- he, she WORD FAMILY- -ug Science – we will be talking about living and nonliving animals. We will start by talking about how to tell if something is living or nonliving. We will also talk about what a living thing needs and where they find food. Writing – we have finished our poetry unit! I will be sending home all of their poems this week! I can’t wait for you to read the poems they have created! WEDNESDAY is library day! This week in math we will continue practice with addition. The students will continue working independently to create their own addition sentences. Author Study We will continue our author study on Dr. Seuss. This week we will read the books Ten Apples Up on Top, Horton Hatches the Egg and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. Special Class Monday – Music Tuesday - PE Wednesday – Art Thursday -- Music Friday – PE Reminders Six Flags March 2 & 6 – Student Led Conferences March 3 – No School March 8 – 2 hour early release March 20-24 – No School – Spring Break Thank you to all those that participated in our reading challenge. The tickets will be sent to me in early May and I will send them home then! Birthdays March 1 – Z’Ryah March 19 - Brook March 25 - Gabriella We have 20 students in our class
