Ariba Contracts: Create a Contract Workspace Create Contract Workspace from a Procurement Workspace or Sourcing Project Nearly all contract workspaces will be created from a Sourcing Project or a Procurement Workspace. Click the Documents tab. Click Actions and select Contract. Continue to page 2: Enter the Header Details. 1 2 1 2 3 Page 1

Ariba Contracts: Create a Contract Workspace Enter the Header Details Name: Supplier Commodity Year of Execution (Ex. SHI Computer Peripherals 2016) Enter a Description. Test Project: Select No. Term Type: Select Fixed or Perpetual (evergreen). Centralized / Decentralized: Select your contracting area. Hierarchical Type: Select Master Agreement. Supplier / Contractor: Select the supplier or contractor for this contract. A A B B C C D D E F E G F G Page 2

Ariba Contracts: Create a Contract Workspace Enter the Header Details Contract Start Date and Contract Expiration Date: Select the start and end dates. Enter the Contract Amount. Catalog Type: Select CIF Supplier. Commodity / Service: Select the UNSPSC code. Originating Department: For centralized, select Procurement. For decentralized, select the department requesting the contract. Authorized Users: Select the departments who can use the contract. H H I I J K L J M K L M Page 3

Ariba Contracts: Create a Contract Workspace Enter the Header Details If you created this project from a sourcing project or procurement workspace, the Predecessor Project field will show that project. Contract Type: Select the appropriate type. Contract Signature Authority: Select who has signing authority for the contract. Non-Competitive Procurement: Select Yes or No. Note: If you select Yes, make sure the non-competitive details in the Contract Workspace match the Procurement Workspace. N O P N O P Q Q Page 4

Ariba Contracts: Create a Contract Workspace Select the Template and Create Select the appropriate template. Template options will depend on the Contract Type entered. Answer the template question. Select DocuSign to route the signatures electronically. Select Non-DocuSign if signatures will be obtained outside DocuSign. Note: DocuSign is the County’s preferred option.
