A quadrilateral has four sides.
Parallelogram Parallelograms have opposite parallel sides
Everyday Parallelograms
Rhombus A parallelogram with 4 congruent sides
Everyday Rhombus
Rectangles Parallelogram where all angles are right angles.
Everyday Rectangles
Square Squares have 4 equal sides and 4 right angles. Squares are regular polygons
Everyday Squares
Kites Kites have 2 pairs of consecutive congruent sides.
Everyday Kites
Trapezoid Trapezoids have one set of parallel sides.
Isosceles Trapezoid A trapezoid whose pair of non-parallel sides are congruent.
