Facilities Services Department Meeting Project Updates Presented by: FS Management Valley City State University

Summer Projects Housing Athletics Vangstad Robertson/Mythaler Window Replacement- in progress McCoy Mechanical Roof Repair- no update Mythaler Roof Repair- no update Athletics Field House backboard installation- in progress, to be complete for camp on Sunday. Graichen score clock installation- on hold (after backboard installation) Graichen & Field House gym floor refinishing- 6/26- no update Field House step repair- everything is poured, need to install railing. Vangstad Stage floor refinishing- 6/26- no update Tuckpointing- in progress

Summer Projects Heat Plant- A load of coal will be here tomorrow to test the auger system. The coal boiler will be fired next week on Tuesday and will run for 3 days- Power House staff will need to be present. The main training will be in October/November. We have received approval from the State Historical Society to demo the building (starting 6/12). Hillslide Mitigation- KLJ is working on a solution, funds to be spent prior to 6/30. Old Science Building Demo- in progress, started pouring concrete for columns today. McFarland 122- on hold, to be completed before 8/22 Student Center- to be scheduled the week of 6/26. Manning Mechanical will be lined up for hook up around 6/30. McCarthy Closure- no updates- on hold.

“Susan was a very big help to me when I was working at McCoy “Susan was a very big help to me when I was working at McCoy. I asked her questions constantly and she always helped me figure out what to do. She helped me order supplies and turn in work orders. She came over to help me figure out how to get a paper towel dispenser working again and the next time I had the same problem I knew how to fix it myself. She is always cheerful and helpful and always asked if I needed any help with anything.”
