Quality and Regulatory Affairs (QRA) Update (Jan. 2017) Anesthesia Quality Institute Self-Nomination (Qualified Registry and QCDR) Self-Nominations are due on January 15, 2017 AQI will nominate to support: Both Qualified Registry and Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) reporting mechanisms Both Individual Reporting and Group Practice Reporting Options Quality and Improvement Activities Component ONLY CMS must approve each entity CMS must approve any non-MIPS Measures used in the Quality Component © 2016 AMERICAN SOCIETY OF ANESTHESIOLOGISTS.

Quality and Regulatory Affairs (QRA) Update (Jan. 2017) Pick YOUR Pace Performance Year 2017 data to be used for 2019 payment adjustments. Exempt from MIPS penalties for first year of program if Option 1 – Test: Submit Some Data No payment adjustment Option 2 – Partial year reporting: Eligible for “small” positive adjustment Option 3 – Full year reporting: Eligible for “modest” positive adjustment Option 4 – Qualifying Participant in an Advanced APM Don’t participate at all – automatic 4% negative adjustment in 2019 As detailed in a CMS blog post, the Agency has proposed a “Pick Your Pace” option for the first year of MACRA.
