S4E4: weather Atticus Heathscott

Weather instruments There are 5 weather instruments: thermometer, rain gauge, barometer, wind vane, and anemometer. Thermometer: Measures the temperature Rain gauge: Measures how much rain fell Barometer: Measures Atmospheric pressure Wind Vane: Shows the direction of the wind Anemometer: Measures the winds speed

Analyze Weather map Cooler in Northern US Warmer in the Western and Eastern States Hot in the South Atlanta, 55 average

Analyze Weather map 2 H-high pressure front Dry in ME and VA L-low pressure front Rain in TN and IN Snow in MI and OH

Weather projection April 2014 April 2015 April 2016 The average temp was 73 degrees F The average precipitation was 5.28 in The average temp was 75 degrees F The precipitation was 8.28 in My projection is that it will be around 73-75 degrees My projection is that the precipitation is 5.00-8.00

Climate vs weather climate weather Climate is how the atmosphere behaves over relatively long time Climate is the average of weather over time and space Weather is what conditions of the atmosphere change over short periods of time In most places, weather can change from minute-to-minute, hour-to-hour, day-to-day, and season-to-season.
