Making Word Clouds With Wordle

Go to www.wordle.net

Click Create.

Add text or a URL.

Pasted text and click “Go”.

The word cloud:

Click Randomize for a new design.

Click “Color” to pick a new color scheme.

Click “Layout” to pick a new layout.

Pick “Font” to pick a new font.

Click “Save to public gallery” to share it on Wordle.net.

Fill in the information and click OK.

Save the URL for deleting it in the future.

Copy the URL from the code to get the link to your word cloud. Copy the URL without the quotation marks!

Take a “picture” of your screen by pressing Alt + PrntScr

Open up Paint (in Accessories)

Click “Paste”

Use the “Select” tool to select the part of the Wordle that you want to save.

Click “Crop”.

Save it as a JPEG.

Now that it’s saved to your computer… Insert it into a PowerPoint. Insert it into a Word document. Print it out and make it into a poster. Put in in a blog post on your blog. You can do anything with it!
